Definitely not as exciting as rally driving (sorry, Mr Ventures, you reminded me with your map that I had made this one), but still pretty exciting in its own right, and much more attainable for most of us, CrapCan Racing is happening somewhere in America almost every weekend, quite possibly near you.

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! LeMons races are the little pin symbols (yellow for singles and red for multiples) and Chump races are diamonds (blue - single; green - multiple), and it should be fairly up to date, please let me know if it's not.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Also, I made a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and mostly it's just me rambling on to myself about crapcan stuff I find online and in real life, but it does have the links to all of the crapcan race series I could find, not just LeMons and ChumpCar. Come join the fun.

5 time racer here. We were looking at Sebring, but the weekend is just too busy with family activities. Probably another run at Kershaw in the fall.

Welcome to the neighborhood!

I won't have my gear together, but I plan on hitting the Gateway race to help out at the least later this summer. I know how it is: family and paying the bills come before going out to play.

Wow, didn't know there were any drift events left at PIR. Might have to get together some of my fellow slidey FR-S/BRZ owners, see if we can pick up a junker and make a team.

Unfortunately, the main forum over at the ChumpCar is about as busy as they get. The LeMons guys tend to chat a little bit more, but the CC racers are more into wrenching on their cars or turning laps over chatting on the internet. However, if you go into the Central Regional forum and post up that you're looking for a ride - list up exactly which race you want and what your experience is, plus any expectations you have and what skills you have to offer - and they're pretty good about contacting folks when they have open seats.

too true. We run once a year. We'd like to run more, but that seems to be the way it works out. Building the car for the first race is the most expensive.

Another tip, if you are married get them involved. If you are going to do something expensive it is best to have your spouse involved. My wife drives and has a great time.

Oh, and check out the World Racing League , one of the "minor league" new guys in the world of crapcan racing. They're mostly in the MidWest at the moment - ChumpCar had to cancel Hallett in March, but WRL has 'em in October. Of course, with the polar vortex, Hallett in March would have been an ice race, not a road course.

I know, it's why I get to play paintball as much as I do (she has her own pink marker, which is hilarious when she marks out the big tough boys with it). She already has her own helmet.
